On Labor Day weekend, we offer a
salute to those Trail maintainers whose hard work keeps the Appalachian Trail
walk-able. Thirty-one Clubs, located along the 2,181 miles of the A.T., work
year-round to maintain and improve the footpath. Representatives from area Appalachian Trail
Maintaining Clubs will talk about the work and strong friendships built in this
labor of love. Meet maintainers from the
Potomac Appalachian Trail Club North Chapter, Cumberland Valley Appalachian
Trail Club and other area maintaining clubs, who will “show and tell” their
equipment and experiences working on the Trail.
